Yatagarasu AoC Developer Diary (Feb 9th)

Hello, Shiza here with this month’s development update. NESiCAxLive Release As announced by Taito’s NESiCAxLive Twitter account over the weekend, the arcade (NESiCAxLive) version of Yatagarasu Attack on Cataclysm will roll out in arcades centers across Japan on February 12th. Translation: [NEWS!]  Yatagarasu Attack on Cataclysm is scheduled to go live on February 12th!! Get excited!! #NESiCA #YatagarasuAC The arcade version uses NESiCAxLive’s card-based system to track and manage player match results using the NESiCA card. Player achievements and ranking data will be viewable to all at the special player site at http://yataac.com/rs/ nesica_cabinet The timing of the NESiCAxLive release is one year later than originally planned, but it is a huge milestone for the Yatagarasu Development Team and it is in large part thanks to the players who have supported and contributed to Yatagarasu Attack on Cataclysm to date. We are sincerely grateful to you all. We will provide more updates on the NESiCAxLive version after is available in arcades.   PC Development With the NESiCAxLive version and release locked in, we are now focused on finalizing the PC release. The new characters and game system that make up the core of the game are all complete and in place, but the PC version has many additional elements that still require time for implementation. Presently our designer KOTANI’s time is fully booked, which means we are still not able to set a specific date for the PC release. Once again, our apologies for the wait. We will announce it immediately when we have visibility. We will be keeping up a high pace of work until the PC version is complete. Please bear with us a little longer.   Beta Access Expansion In the view of the continued wait for the PC release, we will expand access to the Beta Version to the include 2,500 Game Pack ($10) and above backers of the Yatagarasu Attack on Cataclysm IndieGogo campaign. Keys will be distributed by email at the end of the month. We hope you look forward to it.

  1. Been playing this in HEY! and I’m really digging it. But I only run into maybe 2 other players there. I find it very frustrating when I really want to get good at this game. I hope there’s a big scene somewhere in Tokyo now that it’s out in Arcades.
